For more detail, including the consent rules we apply to users in the EU, UK, and Switzerland, see Section 11 below.

You may control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality.

1.7 Audio, Screen, and Visual Information

Where you enable certain real-time interview assistance features or grant device permissions, the Service may process audio, screen content, screenshots, screen captures, visual content, or other interview-related inputs that you choose to provide or allow the Service to access.

This may include:

  • real-time audio input from your microphone for immediate transcription or analysis
  • transcribed interview questions or spoken content generated from temporary audio processing
  • screenshots, screen content, or screen captures from coding assessments, interview platforms, online meeting tools, or other materials you choose to provide
  • visual content, images, or files uploaded by you

We use this information only to provide the requested AI interview assistance features, such as transcribing questions, analyzing coding prompts, generating answer suggestions, or helping structure interview responses.

We do not access your microphone, camera, screen, files, or visual content unless you enable the relevant feature, grant permission, upload content, or otherwise provide access through the Service.

We do not store or retain raw audio recordings. Audio input is processed temporarily to provide real-time transcription or AI assistance and is deleted immediately after processing, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or you separately choose to save a transcript or related output.

Where required by applicable law, we will request appropriate permission or consent before processing audio, screen, camera, or visual information.

1.8 Sensitive Personal Information and Data Minimization

The Service is not intended to collect highly sensitive personal information unless necessary for the specific feature you choose to use. We do not knowingly process special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR (such as data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health data, or biometric data) and ask that you do not submit such data to the Service.

You should avoid submitting or uploading highly sensitive information, such as:

  • government identification numbers
  • passport numbers
  • precise home addresses
  • financial account numbers
  • health information
  • biometric identifiers
  • passwords, authentication codes, or security credentials
  • confidential employer or third-party information
  • any information you are not authorized to share

If you upload a resume, screenshot, interview file, or other document, we encourage you to redact or remove highly sensitive personal identifiers before uploading.

You are responsible for ensuring that the content you provide does not violate applicable law, employer policies, platform rules, confidentiality obligations, or third-party rights.

2. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • to create and manage user accounts
  • to process subscriptions, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment disputes
  • to provide AI-powered interview assistance, answer suggestions, coding support, temporary transcription support, screen or screenshot analysis, and related features that you request
  • to personalize user experience and remember user preferences
  • to respond to support requests, inquiries, feedback, and complaints
  • to send service notices, account messages, billing reminders, security alerts, product updates, and administrative communications
  • to send marketing communications where permitted by law, with an option to opt out
  • to analyze usage trends, improve product performance, and develop new features
  • to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security risks, unauthorized access, and policy violations
  • to enforce our Terms of Service, Subscription Terms, and other policies
  • to comply with legal obligations, regulatory requests, and lawful process

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EU / UK / Swiss Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR and the UK GDPR to process your personal information:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): to provide the Service you have requested, including account creation, subscription management, AI interview assistance, and customer support.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): to operate, secure, and improve the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and conduct limited analytics. We balance our legitimate interests against your rights and freedoms.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): for non-essential cookies, marketing communications, microphone and screen-capture access, and any optional features that process additional personal data. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): to comply with tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and other legal requirements.

We do not knowingly process special categories of personal data (Article 9 GDPR) and ask that you do not submit such data to the Service.

4. AI Processing, User Content, and Model Training

GreatOffer AI uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, explanations, interview answers, coding support, temporary transcriptions, summaries, and other outputs based on user input and available context.

To provide AI-powered features, your submitted content may be processed by our systems and, where applicable, by third-party AI infrastructure providers or service providers acting on our behalf.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, editing, and deciding whether to use any AI-generated output.

4.1 AI Model Training and Product Improvement

We do not use your personal User Content to train our foundation AI models without your explicit consent.

Your interview questions, resumes, code, uploaded files, screenshots, temporary audio inputs, transcripts, screen content, or other personal content are processed to provide the Service features you request.

We do not store or retain raw audio recordings for model training, analytics, or product improvement. Raw audio is processed temporarily and deleted immediately after processing.

We may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data to improve Service performance, product reliability, safety, analytics, and user experience, provided that such data does not reasonably identify you and does not include retained raw audio recordings.

If we introduce optional features that use personal User Content for model improvement, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required by applicable law.

4.2 Third-Party AI Providers

To provide AI-powered features, we may send relevant user inputs to third-party AI infrastructure providers or model providers acting on our behalf.

Where reasonably possible, we seek to limit the information shared with such providers and use de-identified, pseudonymized, or minimized data for processing.

If audio-based features are used, audio is processed only as needed for temporary transcription or real-time assistance and is not retained by us after processing. Where third-party AI or transcription providers are involved, we seek to use providers and settings that limit retention and prohibit use of personal User Content for provider-side model training where commercially available.

Data processed by third-party AI providers may also be subject to their respective privacy practices, data processing terms, security commitments, and retention policies.

We do not authorize third-party AI providers to use your personal User Content for their own advertising purposes.

4.3 Real-Time Processing Notice

Certain real-time features may process information temporarily while the feature is active. Where practical, the Service may provide visible indicators or notices when AI is processing audio, screen content, screenshots, or other interview-related inputs.

You may stop using real-time features or revoke device permissions through the Service interface, browser settings, operating system settings, or device permission controls, depending on how the feature is provided.

When audio processing stops, we delete raw audio immediately after the temporary processing needed to provide the feature is completed. We do not maintain an audio recording library or audio history for users.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

We may share information only as described below:

5.1 Service Providers

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate the Service, including:

  • cloud hosting providers
  • AI infrastructure or model providers
  • temporary transcription or speech-to-text providers where audio features are enabled
  • payment processors
  • analytics providers
  • customer support tools
  • email and communication providers
  • security, fraud prevention, and monitoring providers
  • database, storage, and infrastructure vendors

These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services for us and are expected to protect the information according to applicable obligations.

We maintain internal records of key service provider categories and may update those records as our product, infrastructure, or business operations change.

5.2 Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;

enforce our Terms of Service, Subscription Terms, or other policies;

protect the rights, property, safety, or security of GreatOffer AI, our users, or others;

detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical issues;

respond to payment disputes, chargebacks, or billing-related claims.

5.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards where required by law.

5.4 With Your Consent

We may share information with third parties when you direct us to do so or otherwise provide consent.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and support legitimate business purposes. Specific retention periods include:

  • Account information: retained while your account is active and for up to 24 months after account deletion, for security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.
  • Billing and transaction records: retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically 6–10 years).
  • Raw audio input: NOT retained. Audio is processed temporarily and deleted immediately after processing.
  • Transcripts and AI-generated outputs you choose to save: retained while your account is active or until you delete them.
  • Customer support communications: retained for up to 36 months after the last contact.
  • Marketing consent records: retained until you withdraw consent and for a reasonable period thereafter to demonstrate compliance.
  • Server logs: retained for up to 12 months.

When the applicable retention period ends, personal data is securely deleted, anonymized, or aggregated according to our internal procedures and applicable law.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information submitted to or processed by the Service.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. International Data Transfers

The Service is operated globally and your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, including jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.

Where we transfer personal information of EEA, UK, or Swiss users outside those regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, including:

  • the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) (Decision 2021/914);
  • the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the SCCs, where applicable;
  • adequacy decisions issued by the European Commission or the UK Information Commissioner's Office, where available;
  • supplementary technical and organisational measures (such as encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and pseudonymisation where feasible) following the recommendations of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) post-Schrems II.

You may request a copy of the safeguards in place for a specific transfer by contacting privacy@greatoffer.ai.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the GDPR and the UK GDPR:

  • Right of access (Art. 15): obtain confirmation of and a copy of your personal data.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16): correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure / "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17): request deletion in defined cases.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18).
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20): receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21), including the right to object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
  • Rights related to automated decision-making and profiling (Art. 22). The Service does not subject you to decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@greatoffer.ai. We will respond within one month of receipt of your request, as required by Art. 12(3) GDPR. This period may be extended by two further months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of the requests; in that case we will inform you within one month of receipt.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your EU member state of habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement. A list of EU data protection authorities is available at https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en.

Some rights may be limited by applicable law, legal obligations, fraud prevention needs, billing records, security requirements, or legitimate business purposes. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.

10. Marketing Communications

We may use your email address to send product updates, promotional messages, interview tips, feature announcements, and marketing communications where permitted by law.

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you service-related messages, such as account, security, billing, subscription, or legal notices.

11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required for the Service to function (e.g. authentication, session management, security). These do not require consent.
  • Functional cookies: remember preferences such as language. Used only with consent where required.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how the Service is used (e.g. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity). Used only with consent where required.
  • Marketing cookies: used for advertising measurement and remarketing (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Pixel). Used only with consent where required.

For users in the EU, UK, and Switzerland, we display a cookie consent banner on first visit. Non-essential cookies are not set until you provide consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" control in the footer.

You may also be able to limit certain tracking through browser settings, cookie controls, device-level privacy settings, or legally recognized opt-out preference signals where applicable.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. Member States of the EU may have set a lower age limit, but not below 13, in which case the local age limit applies.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact privacy@greatoffer.ai and we will delete the information as required by law.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, tools, platforms, payment processors, AI providers, or other services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, policies, security, or actions of third parties. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

14. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, we will notify the competent supervisory authority without undue delay and, where feasible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in accordance with Article 33 GDPR.

Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will also inform you without undue delay, as required by Article 34 GDPR.

15. Regional Privacy Notices

Depending on where you are located, additional privacy rights or disclosures may apply under local data protection laws, such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or other privacy laws.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional disclosures or respond to requests according to the rights available in your jurisdiction.

If you are located in a region with specific privacy requirements, please contact us if you would like to exercise applicable privacy rights.

16. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some browsers or extensions may send privacy preference signals, including Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.

Where required by applicable law, and where we are able to recognize such signals, we will honor valid opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.

Because there is no single universal standard for all browser privacy signals, our response may vary depending on the signal, browser, jurisdiction, and applicable legal requirements.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update the Privacy Policy, we may revise the "Updated Date" at the top of this document.

Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
